Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber celebrated his 18th birthday on Thursday and he celebrated the birthday milestone by being surprised with a $100,000 electric car by his manager.
Bieber's longtime manager Scooter Braun surprised the singer with the Fisker Karma on Thursday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
"You work really, really hard. And I always yell at you, 'Don't get anything flashy!' We're not about that. Be humble, be humble. And I kind of broke my own rule," said Scooter Braun, the Canadian pop singer's manager, as he revealed his gift to the singer.
The black four-door car comes with a solar sunroof and is sporty in appearance, but environmentally friendly in function.
"We wanted to make sure, since you love cars, that when you're on the road you are always looking environmentally friendly. And we decided to get you a car that would stand out. I think you know where I'm going, and you're kind of freaking out right now. That's a Fisker Karma," Braun added.
The Fisker Karma is a new luxury sports vehicle that just hit showrooms in December and is extremely high in demand. It was the first car developed by Fisker Automotive, a relatively new car company based out of southern California. The company was founded in 2007.
The Fisker Karma is one of the world's first plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. The car starts at around $102,000 for the basic model and goes up to $116,000 for the top model.
"That's mine? That's crazy! This is amazing!" the excited and stunned teen signer said.
Bieber, who is dating fellow singer Selena Gomez, is a known car enthusiast but is also known for being a humble teen. For his birthday, he urged his Twitter followers to donate $18 to the charity Water for this 18th birthday.
The charity helps give clean drinking water to people in developing countries.
"I want to use my bday to help others. if u want please donate $18 to @charitywater on my 18th bday!" he tweeted.
