Justin Bieber Paternity Suit Dropped: Fans Not Surprised by News, React Online

The public and fans of pop superstar Justin Bieber were anything but surprised to find that Mariah Yeater, the 20-year-old woman seeking a paternity test and child support for her 4-month-old baby whom she claims Bieber fathered, recently decided to drop the suit.

Many have taken to Twitter to mock the young mother, whose story very few believed from the start.

"Yeater didn't really plan this one out," tweeted outfitsandnews.

TMZ reported that Yeater's lawyers, Matt Pare and Lance Rogers, dropped their client and backed away from the case last week, evidently after receiving word from Bieber's legal team that it planned to pursue legal action against Yeater if her claims were proven false. The teen popstar had agreed to a paternity test that was to be taken in two weeks when he returned from the European promotion of his new album, "Under the Mistletoe."

Serious doubts in Yeater's story began to arise after an interview on The Insider, during which she dodged questions, cried and continually walked out after being asked pointed questions, such as whether or not friends could corroborate her story.

"It’s pretty obvious she’s lying," Dr. Lillian Glass, a body language expert, told Hollywoodlife.com "She is very nervous when she starts out so she licks her lips. I believe that maybe she did meet him - she seems confident when she says she met him - but then she loses it. When she says he took her to the bathroom, she licks her lips, which is a signal of deception. She leans back and swallows hard. She looks around a lot. She stutters to find words."

Yeater alleged that the child was conceived in a brief sexual encounter after the pop star's concert in October 2010 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Yeater had a front row seat and claims a security guard approached her asking if she would like to meet the star, and soon after meeting backstage, Bieber lost his virginity to the then 19-year-old woman in a bathroom.

Many feel that legal action should still be pursued against Yeater.

"Bieber should sue Mariah and her attorneys for malicious prosecution," wrote one commenter on the story. "This was an obvious money grab. She must be punished."

Another wrote, "I think Justin should still sue her for what she caused to entire world of Justin. I feel so sorry for that little baby boy who will be with a mother like this (the) rest of his life. Social services should really look after this baby boy.”
