Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly reconciled four months after their infamous split and insiders are said to be concerned about the on-and-off couple's relationship.
On April 18, fans of Gomez, 20, were stunned to learn that the former Disney star had flown out to Norway for a romantic reunion with Bieber, 19. The pop singer has posted a series of intimate photographs of himself with Gomez in recent weeks and a source revealed that many of those close to the pair are opposed to what appears to be a reconciliation.
"We did everything we could to keep them apart but he was so persistent. It's really unhealthy they have such a turbulent relationship at such a young age, " a source told The Sun U.K.
"He leaves her in floods of tears constantly. She has had a really difficult year or so dealing with the tense emotions that come with dating him. We thought she had finally broken free," the source continued.
In December the young couple, who has dated on-and-off for two years, split following claims that Gomez had difficulty trusting the "Never Say Never" singer.
"The problem in the first place is that Selena was a little bit of a jealous girlfriend and Justin wasn't really taking her feelings into regard," a source close to the stars previously told Radar Online. "Justin doesn't see texting other girls as cheating, but he's promised Selena he'll stop if she takes him back."
Friends are concerned that history could repeat itself and they are reportedly desperate to save Gomez from further heartbreak.
"There's not much we can do about it," the insider adds. "But we are going to try. She spent the last year of their relationship an emotional wreck. And we can see no end in sight to this."
Bieber is currently performing in Scandinavia as part of his world tour and he and Gomez are believed to have rekindled their relationship there.
