Justin Bieber to Host Saturday Night Live? Alec Baldwin Spills the Beans

Pop sensation Justin Bieber may host NBC's "Saturday Night Live," this season, Alec Baldwin revealed on his radio podcast on Monday.

On the latest episode of his WNYC public radio podcast, "Here's the Thing," Alec Baldwin, a 16-time veteran of SNL, announced a list of upcoming guests for the comedy sketch show taken from producer Lorne Michaels' board of confirmed hosts.

Baldwin was interviewing Michaels during the show and named Bieber among the list of guest hosts.

Bieber, a 17-year-old superstar who became the first person ever to reach 2 billion views on their YouTube channel in October, could generate a lot of viewers for SNL, which has seen a decline in ratings.

Baldwin said on his podcast that Bieber would be a host and musical guest on the show when he appears. The actor also indicated other popular stars as upcoming hosts.

"The biggest names in the business are coming here thirty-something years [after 'SNL''s debut] to host the show," Baldwin announced. "Ben Stiller, Melissa McCarthy, [who] won the Emmy award, and Katy Perry's coming and Jimmy Fallon, who's double-dipping on your payroll, Jonah Hill, and I don't want to ruin any other names, [but] Bieber's confirmed, he's the music and the [host]."

Bieber was a musical guest on SNL in April 2010, but he's never hosted the show. Bieber had a guest spot on the 2010-2011 season of "CSI," but hasn't done much acting since then.

Actor Mark Wahlberg is working on a project of his own with Bieber. Not giving away too many details, Wahlberg gushes about picking the teen star for a role in the film.

"Intuition. I'm pretty intuitive," Wahlberg told MTV News on selecting Bieber.

"I see the guy and spent time with him and you see what he does and how he does it," Wahlberg added, "and then you actually have a conversation with him and it's there."

NBC has not confirmed any guests past February, according to MSN Entertainment.

Confirmed February guests include "New Girl" star Zooey Deschanel, actor Channing Tatum, Folk band Bon Iver and pop music duo Karmin.
