The Spanish outfit had their first match against German club Borussia Monchengladbach and they impressed their fans with a big win at home.

Kevin Gameiro scored the game's first goal via penalty kick in the 47th minute before Ever Banega made it 2-0 when Sevilla were awarded another penalty kick due to a foul.

Evgeni Konoplyanka scored the team's third goal to give them a decisive win and a perfect start to their European campaign.

Meanwhile, Juventus battled England's Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in a match between teams most believe have the biggest chance of making it through to the next round.

Despite an early own goal from Giorgio Chiellini, Juventus were able to fight back and Mario Mandzukic equalised in the 70th minute to give the Turin club a chance at a result.

Alvaro Morata completed the comeback with a goal in the 81st minute to hand them a big win over a tough team away from home.

Now in total, Juventus are in a bit of a slump as they are struggling in the Serie A.

They are 15th in the league and have only won once in the league so far but another good win in the UEFA Champions League may help them turn things around.

As for Sevilla, they are also struggling in the Spanish La Liga as they are 16th in the league and have only won once in their last three matches.
