"Teen Mom 2" star Kailyn Lowry has revealed that she was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She is the second "Teen Mom 2" star to be diagnosed with the disorder; Jenelle Evans was diagnosed with the same disorder last year.

"My mom is bipolar and it turns out I am too," Lowry said in an interview with Starcasm. The disorder causes intense mood swings from extreme happiness to depression and may also cause a manic state of excitement, irritability, or emotion.

Fans of the "Teen Mom" series have seen Jenelle Evans go through extreme mood changes on certain episodes of the show, so they have an idea as to what the disorder may look like. For Lowry, it was an intense argument with husband Javi Marroquin that led to counseling and the eventual diagnosis.

"I just want to publicly apologize in advance to my fans, and even though Javi and I have moved on from it, I want to say I'm sorry again to him and his family for letting my emotions get the best of me. I know how humiliating that is for them, and I'm humiliated myself," Lowry explained.

The dramatic argument will be seen during season four of "Teen Mom 2," but Lowry wanted to apologize in advance so that fans will not be caught off-guard.

Lowry's revelation comes in the same week as rumors that MTV is considering canceling the series due to Evans' radical behavior. Evans has admitted to having problems with alcohol and drugs, been in violent confrontations, and has been described by an MTV insider as "too much of a liability."

"The way she's going, she could literally die and MTV will be blamed for it," the insider told E! News. "MTV should have just taken away all her Twitters and Facebook."

"No decision has been made yet regarding a fifth season of 'Teen Mom 2,' but the network is planning to air the fourth season this year and will announce the premiere date soon," MTV said in an official statement.
