Kansas vs Western Kentucky takes place in the NCAA 2013 tournament on Friday night second round. March Madness is now in full flow and this match up should be a good opportunity to see one of the tournament favorites in action. The game is scheduled to tip off at 9.50 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The Kansas Jayhawks are in fantastic form as usual, and managed to win their third Big-12 Tournament title in four years. They have earned the No. 1 seed spot in the tournament, but they will have a lot of work to do to make sure they live up to their billing.
The last time Kansas won the Big-12 Tournament and then went on to win the entire NCAA was in 2008.
Jeff Withey has led from the front this season, and managed to claim 17 points and nine rebounds in their 70-54 victory over Kansas State in the Big-12 final last week. In addition, Perry Ellis and Naadir Tharpe scored 24 points combined.
The Kansas defense seemed very impressive against Kansas State in last week's match up, smothering them and allowing the opposition to shot just 35 percent from the field overall.
Kansas also managed to round off the season with a 10-1 run, and they will be hoping their good form can take them all the way this year at the NCAA.
Meanwhile, Western Kentucky ended the season 20-10, finishing fourth in the Sun Belt. However, they went on a four game winning streak to win the conference title to book their place here.
