Kanye West's SNL rant this week has brought more attention to the show and has built anticipation for the this week's season finale, which will feature West as the performer.

West ranted during a gig this week that he's not a celebrity, and would not be doing "no ******-******* SNL skits."

This season's finale for Saturday Night Live takes place tonight and West's comments have sparked a whirlwind of comments on social media sites as fans anticipate a big bang during the show.

West was in fact first ranting about paparazzi, when a friend asked him whether he would be doing an SNL skit about the paparazzi during his appearance on the show.

West replied to the friend: "I ain't here to apologize to no ******-*******, man. It ain't about me humanizing myself. At what point did I become un-human where I had to turn myself back? Or maybe I was demonized. Or maybe I was treated inhumane and not human in that kind of situation."

The rapper has seemingly been annoyed by the presence of paparazzi following him everywhere since he started his relationship with Kim Kardashian. However, he now insists he is just a performer, and not a celebrity.

"I ain't no ******-******* celebrity. I ain't running for office. I ain't kissing nobody's ************* babies. I drop your baby and you sue me and ****. I'm trying to make some music that inspires people to be the best they can be. I don't want nobody to ask nothing else of me. Don't ask nothing else of me."

There has already been much anticipation building about this week's SNL finale, and previously celebrity blogger Perez Hilton reported that West had threatened not to appear on the show if his girlfriend Kim Kardashian was the target of any jokes.
