Kanye West Clarifies Misconceptions About Love for Kim Kardashian

Kanye West decided to break his silence in the media by denying reports that he wanted rumored girlfriend and reality star Kim Kardashian to be his "Beyoncé."

The rumors about the 34-year-old rapper comparing 31-year-old Kardashian to the new mother and award-winning singer seemed insulting to West. The Grammy-award winning rapper spoke to Us Weekly about the false statements regarding Jay-Z's wife making headlines in his name.

"Of course there are a lot of media inaccuracies surrounding this past couple of weeks, especially the 'She's my Beyonce' quote,'" West told the publication. "I would never compare anyone to my friend's wife."

West clarified the statements that he made regarding Kardashian in the Us Weekly report.

"Come on now, that doesn't even sound like me," West said about the Beyoncé reference. "If I don't say something in a rap or on Twitter, it's not true."

The speculation regarding West and Kardashian's relationship was initially sparked from the rapper's verse in a song that he premiered this month titled, "Way Too Cold." In the song,West mentioned that the reality star's relationship with Kris Humphries, 27-year-old New Jersey Nets forward, may have kept her away from the rapper and insinuated that he had the power to pull strings with close friend Jay-Z, who also partially owns the NBA team.

"I admit I fell in love with Kim / Around the same time she fell in love with him / Well that's cool baby girl / Do your thing / Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team," West rapped.

After the song premiered, the pair was spotted accompanying one another on shopping trips, lunch dates and play dates at FAO Schwarz. West's friends reportedly told Us Weekly that the rapper is truly in love.

" [Kanye] has been genuinely head over heels for [Kim] for a while," a source close to West told the publication.
