Kanye West Planning $5 Million, Black Wedding to Kim Kardashian?

Kanye West is reportedly planning a $5 million two-week wedding celebration for his nuptials to Kim Kardashian.

The "Blood On The Leaves" rapper, 36, has reportedly taken full control of wedding planning and sources claim he is intent on having an over-the-top extravaganza that could potentially outdo the 2011 royal wedding. West proposed to Kardashian, 33, in October just months after the couple welcomed the birth of their first child, North West.

"He's making a public statement that his wedding tops all weddings throughout history," a family insider told OK! Magazine.

West, who has reportedly chosen Italy as the wedding destination, is expected to lease Capri's Villa San Michele for 14 days for an estimated $500,000. He is expected to cover all expenses for wedding guests with the exception of flights and the color scheme for the lavish affair is reportedly black, diamonds and gold.

"We'll all have grand suites and all the events are on him," a source revealed.

"Kanye is friends with the three-star Michelin chef Massimo Bottura," another insider said. "Sample menus have already been mocked up for Kanye to peruse."

Kardashian, 33, was delighted on her birthday after West rented out AT&T Park in San Francisco for the over-the-top surprise proposal. She recently admitted to People magazine that she is happy for the rapper to plan "whatever he wants" for their Summer 2014 wedding.

West, who recently told a Los Angeles radio station that he will feature "fighter jets" on his big day, reportedly wants the event broadcast around the globe. Sources claim he is hoping to achieve the same level of interest as Prince William and Kate Middleton's 2011 wedding.

William and Middleton's 2011 royal wedding was reportedly broadcast live in more than 180 countries, and an estimated 300 million viewers tuned in worldwide, according to reports.

"Kanye wants it broadcast around the globe," a source told VH1's "The Gossip Table" about the upcoming wedding. "He wants it to be a National holiday, a day when everyone can take time off to celebrate the world's most famous couple."
