Karrueche Tran posted a cryptic tweet on her Twitter page on Friday, which has prompted speculation that her relationship with Chris Brown has ended.
The 24-year-old model, who has never publicly expressed her take on Brown's tumultuous relationship with Rihanna, randomly tweeted "The End" in the early hours of Friday morning. A number of critics associated the post with her relationship with Brown, 23.
"Hopefully you're not talking about Chris and you," one of Tran's followers tweeted, to which Tran did not elaborate.
The recent Twitter post follows a series of cryptic tweets that Tran has sent out since Brown, her boyfriend of two years, publicly kissed Rihanna, 24, at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
"TREAT YOUR GIRL RIGHT," Tran tweeted on Sept. 6. Some critics suspect that the 24-year-old model's tweet may have been directed at Brown, who is rumored to be rekindling his relationship with the Bajan singer.
In August, Rihanna confirmed that both she and Brown, who broke up in 2009 following a domestic assault incident, still love each other and maintain a close bond.
"I still love him. We're very, very close friends. We built a trust again and that's it. We love each other and we probably always will," Rihanna told renowned talk show host Oprah Winfrey. "I think he was the love of my life. He was the first love and I see that he loved me the same way."
The interview, which aired on the OWN network's "Oprah's Next Chapter" reportedly reduced Tran to tears, according to HollywoodLife.com, which quoted a source as saying that the model was devastated.
She allegedly had no idea that Brown and Rihanna still spend quality time together alone so frequently.
Tran's breaking point was reportedly Brown and Rihanna's public display of affection at the VMA's, which Rihanna was accused of taunting her about.
The "We Found Love" singer recently retweeted a message from one of her 25 million Twitter followers. The user's profile photo was of Rihanna and Brown's VMAs kiss.
"Want you to make me feel like I'm the only girl in the world," Rihanna retweeted on Sept. 13.
Just days earlier the singer tweeted a message about fake relationships, which critics believe was a mockery of Tran's allegedly strained relationship with Brown.
"There's a difference between having a real relationship and just being together because that's all you're used to. There's a difference between meaning your 'I love yous' and just saying them every night because 'that's what you do'. There's a difference between being together and wanting to be together. It's a relationship, not a routine," Rihanna tweeted on Sept. 4.
In July, Brown raised eyebrows when he abruptly deleted all photos of Tran from his Twitter page. Many perceived this as confirmation that his relationship with Tran had faltered.
Both Brown and Tran are yet to publicly address the break-up speculation.
