Karrueche Tran tweeted a prayer to Jesus on Monday, just one day after her on-and off-again boyfriend Chris Brown publicly asked for her forgiveness.

The couple, who has been involved in a tumultuous relationship since 2010, split up recently and an enraged Brown, 25, took to social media on Friday to humiliate Tran, 26, by airing out their personal business.

The embattled singer accused the model of cheating on him with Canadian rapper Drake, among other things, via his Instagram account, prompting her to respond by alleging mistreatment. By Sunday, Brown publicly apologized for his demeaning post and asked her for forgiveness.

On Monday, a distraught Tran openly turned to her faith after the humiliating ordeal and shared a prayer with her 538,000 Twitter followers.

"Father, thank You for preparing a place of blessing for me. I choose to trust You and Your timing, knowing that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf in Jesus' name! Amen," she tweeted.

Brown, who got his big break in music after singing in his church choir, is no stranger to relationship drama. In 2009 he was forced to issue a public apology after admittedly beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna during a domestic dispute.

At the time, the born-again Christian turned to his faith and sought the help of his pastor in a bid to overcome the shocking incident.

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person," Brown previously said in a statement issued through his publicist, Michael Sitrick.

The "New Flame" singer has had a tough year due to ongoing legal woes. On June 2, he was released from a Los Angeles County Jail after having served 108 days of a 131-day sentence for a probation violation.
