Show hosts Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs take the stage at the 2014 People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles, January 8, 2014.

Kat Dennings and Beth Behr took the stage as co-hosts at this year's 40th Annual People's Choice Awards where they served burgers and French fries.

The actresses co-star on "2 Broke Girls" as waitresses at a New York City diner, and the pair brought their roles to the awards show on Wednesday.

While the best in today's best in music, television and movies were recognized, Dennings and Behr took orders from some of the nominees during an introductory skit at the People's Choice Awards (PCA).

Stars such as Kaley Cuoco, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Christina Aguilera and Bryan Cranston offered up roles during the introductory skit.

Shortly thereafter, waitresses came out to serve the "PCA" audience burgers and fries.

Later on during the show, Behr attempted to sing songs such as "The Hills Are Alive" from "The Sound of Music" and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" while Dennings read live tweets from viewers. Watch the clip here.

Dennings was forced to wear one glove on her hand after accidentally slicing it with a knife just days before the awards show.

Big winners during this year's People's Choice show included Justin Timberlake and Sandra Bullock, while Britney Spears earned her very first People's Choice Award.

"Thank you! Wow. This is so cool! This is awesome," Spears said during her acceptance speech after winning the award for Favorite Pop Artist.

"I was not expecting this," she added. "And it's because of all of you that I am able to do what I love to do, and I just want to thank my family, my beautiful family. My boys at home. My management team and all of my friends, I love you dearly. Thank you."

Jennifer Hudson also took home the Humanitarian Award and accepted the honor with a tearful speech. The actress and singer founded Julian D. King Gift Foundation, a charity organization following the murders of her mother, brother and nephew in 2008.

As for movies, "Gravity," "Carrie," and "Despicable Me 2" were named 2013's best films.

Television awards went out to shows such as "The Voice," "The Good Wife," "Homeland" and "The Big Bang Theory."

Meanwhile, in the acting category, stars such as Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Sandler and Sarah Michelle Gellar each took home awards, among many others.

One Republic, Brad Paisley and Justin Timberlake also performed.
