Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy End 3-Year Engagement, Kate Now Dating Derek Hough?

Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy have called off their 3-year engagement, but a representative for the Muse rocker says that the two remain friends.

"Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now," the rep said in a statement to Us Weekly. "Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed parents."

The actress and Bellamy started dating in 2010 and got engaged in April 2011. They have a son, Bingham "Bing" Hawn Bellamy, who was born in July 2011. Hudson also has a son, 10-year old Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson.

Though the pair has not given any details about the cause of their split, a source from Hollywoodlife said that it was Hudson's "flirtatious behavior" and close friendship with Derek Hough are among the reasons why they have been fighting a lot.

"Kate is a terrible flirt and Matt has always been jealous of her relationship with other man," said the source to the website. "They have had many fights over her flirtatious behavior in the past."

The source added that Hudson's friends have also commented on her chemistry with Hough, who is the actress' ballroom dance teacher.

"Friends of Kate and Derek were all buzzing about the sparks between them. They were always being extremely flirty with one another, laughing and touching. Whenever Kate was with Derek she didn't act like she was engaged to another man," the insider said.

Hough and Hudson were reportedly spotted together in Disneyland in 2013, and over the past weekend, they were seen together at the Nice Guy Restaurant in L.A. where they enjoyed dinner, drank, and stayed at the spot until closing time.

Neither Hough nor Hudson has confirmed the dating rumors as of the moment.
