Kate Hudson will appear on Glee for its new season premiere on Sept. 13, 2012, in news that has delighted fans of the hit TV series.
Hudson is already famous for her dance moves in film musical "Nine" but she will now show off her dance expertise even more, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed.
Hudson will play the part of "Cassandra July," who is a dance instructor at Rachel's new school, "NYADA."
In the photo obtained by EW, Hudson is shown playing Cassandra as she shows Rachel some dance techniques at DYADA.
Hudson's character apparently will not be the playful, bright character most of her fans are used to seeing her play. Rather she will have her own "demons."
Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk has said, "She's hard-ass. And she has her own demons. She works by negative."
If earlier reports prove correct, Glee fans can expect to see Hudson on the show for an extended period. She is rumored to have signed up for six episodes in season 4 of Glee.
Hudson is not the only person making a cameo role on the new series of the hit show; Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex and the City fame will also make her own debut on the show in the third episode of season 4, according to Entertainment Weekly.
