Kate Middleton Baby Could Be in Danger, Says Princess Diana's Former Bodyguard

Princess Diana's former bodyguard, who also served as Prince William's bodyguard as a child, believes that Kate Middleton's future baby could be in danger.

Expecting her first child at any moment now, Kate Middleton will have more to worry about than most new mothers. Giving birth to a royal baby will be no simple task according to Ken Wharfe, a former bodyguard of Princess Diana.

Wharfe served as a child bodyguard for Prince William more than 20 years ago, at a time when things were a lot less threatening. But in today's day and age, Kate Middleton may have to fear a lot worse.

"Kate's baby could be in danger," Wharfe said in an interview with Look magazine. "Given the political state of the world and the vulnerability of the royals, they need a lot of protection. In this terror-ridden world of ours, there's a real risk of kidnap for this child."

While Wharfe was working for the palace, it was easier to take Prince William and Prince Harry outside. But, Middleton's young one may not have as much freedom.

"The world is a much more dangerous place than it was 20 years ago, when we would take William and Harry out," he stated.

In order for Middleton to keep her baby safe, the operations could get costly, Wharfe warned.

"What they will have to do is surround themselves with police, which could be a multi-million pound operation," he noted.

While Middleton is allegedly "feeling great" about her pregnancy as she comes to term, sources also say that the mother to be is getting nervous about getting birth.

"Naturally she is a little nervous about the big day, what new mum wouldn't be?" the source said according to Us Weekly.

In the meantime, the media have already positioned themselves outside St. Mary's Hospital in London where the Duchess is expected to give birth.
