Kate Middleton News: Duchess of Cambridge Recovering From Severe Morning Sickness, Attends Several Engagements Over the Weekend
Following her ordeal from severe morning sickness—also known as hyperemesis gravidarum—over the past months, Kate Middleton appears to be back in excellent form as she readily attended several engagements over the weekend. Since announcing her second pregnancy, The Duchess of Cambridge has been limited from performing her royal duties and was forced to cancel appearances in pre-scheduled events, such as a two-day trip to Malta.
On Saturday, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William flew to Wales for several engagements. Their first port of call was a visit to the Valero Pembroke Refinery, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. They were greeted by locals and the Duchess appeared to be in good spirits as she and the Prince did a walkabout, and she was even photographed chatting with the local children. Upon their arrival, the royal couple viewed an exhibit which chronicles the history of the refinery, and they visited the control room to meet the workers. They also headed to the refinery's fire hall where they were presented with a toy truck for Prince George. Next, the Prince and the Duchess watched a rugby game at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff where they witnessed a match between Wales and Australia.
On Sunday, the royals were dressed in black as they somberly observed Remembrance Sunday in London. The Duchess watched the ceremony with the Duchess of Cornwall and the Countess of Wessex from the foreign office balcony while the Queen laid a wreath of red poppies at the Cenotaph, a structure which was erected to remember those who died during World War I. Prince William, Prince Charles, Prince Phillip, The Earl of Wessex and the Duke of Kent also laid wreaths at the stone structure.

In other news, the Duchess of Cambridge is expected to attend more engagements in the coming days, starting with a SportsAid athlete workshop on Nov. 12, followed by an appearance at the Royal Variety Performance with Prince William on Nov. 13, and the Place2Be Schools Awards at Kensington Palace on Nov. 19.
