'Kate Plus 8' Season Premiere Recap and Spoilers

Kate Gosselin and her brood are back for another season of "Kate Plus 8." The show's new season premiered on Tuesday, and fans saw a different Kate as she looks quite calm and happy, even when one— or three —of her children are having a meltdown.

The sextuplets are now 10, and the older girls, Madelyn and Cara, are now 14, and the two girls have grown up to be quite sassy as they now argue with their mother. At one point, Kate takes away Madelyn's phone. The teen responds with a lot of eye-rolling and takes on additional chores in hopes of getting her phone back.

In the episode, the single mom decided to take everyone to Massachusetts and Maine for a vacation. The Gosselin children, now older, insist on packing their own clothes, which makes packing more difficult for Kate. But they soon manage and at 5:30 a.m., the whole family goes on an early flight.

In Boston, they go to Plimoth Plantation to take part in the Pilgrim experience, and they all dress up and do some cooking the old-fashioned way. Later, they visit a seafood restaurant, and Madelyn orders lobster just to annoy Kate, who is not fond of the delicacy. Madelyn ends up not finishing her lobster.

In Maine, the Gosselins go to a beach house where they will be staying for a few days, but everything goes south when Alexis refuses to sleep on a couch in a separate room because she wants to sleep in the bunk bed. Hannah and Leah get involved, and while everyone is pouting and arguing, Kate grins and tells them to figure it out for themselves before walking away. Eventually, the girls worked out where everybody will be sleeping.

"Kate Plus 8" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on TLC.
