Katinas Support at President’s Rally

The Katinas were at the first public rally of President George W. Bush's re-election campaign on Saturday. In front of 10,000 people in Orlando's Orange County Convention Center, the band held a 20-minute concert, performing songs such as "Freedom", "Movin'", "Lean On Me", and "So Good".

During the rally, First lady Laura Bush gave an introductory speech and Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida introduced his brother, President George Bush. The President spoke for 40 minutes, where he acknowledged the Katinas for their support.

"Being with the President was more than a dream come true," said John Katina. "We felt like it was our responsibility to let him know that we not only support him, but more importantly that we, and many others around the world, are praying for him. It was an honor to personally deliver that message to him."
