Katy Perry has provided her fans with a teaser to her new music video "Part Of Me."

The 27-year-old singer posted a first look at the new video on Twitter Friday, writing, "That was THEN & this is NOW: Sneak peek of my NEW VIDEO for #PartofMe. IN FULL EFFECT 3.21.12!"

Perry will world premiere the video for the hit song on "MTV First: Katy Perry" on Wednesday, March 21 at 7:23 p.m. EST on MTV.

Along with the video premiere, Perry will give an interview about her upcoming new album, "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection," which debuts March 26.

The brief clip of the "Part of Me" video reveals Perry in Marine camouflage with a vengeful look on her face. Gun shots are heard during a night vision scene ahead of the emotional song start.

Filming of the video took place on a military base in California last month.

Many news sources have speculated that "Best of Me" was inspired by Perry's split from British comedian and actor Russell Brand in December.

Perry denied the rumors, claiming she had written the song prior to meeting Brand.

"I wrote it two years ago, which is funny because everybody is like 'God, it sounds so current,'" Perry explained of "Part of Me."

She continued, "Some people that I work with were like, 'You should just say you wrote it a couple of weeks ago.' I'm like, 'I'm not a d---, I'm going to tell the truth.'"

The singer did admit the irony between her divorce and the emotional song about love.

"Sometimes I'm like, 'Am I living in The Truman Show?' What's going on,'" she said to MTV News. "It just feels like sometimes I'm caught in this movie where my life is paralleling my music!"

News about her new music video is not the only thing Perry announced this week. The singer also took to Twitter about her upcoming film.

"Ready for some huge news?!" Wrote Perry. "FINALLY, my movie is coming out with Paramount this summer! It's called "KATY PERRY: PART OF ME" Presented in 3D! KatyCats- lets trend! #kP3D."
