Katy Perry has been announced as another performer at this year's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas later this month.
The 27-year-old singer joins the ranks of previously-announced performers such as Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Carrie Underwood, and Kelly Clarkson, among others.
Perry, who is releasing a movie this summer, will debut her new song "Wide Awake" during her performance.
The Billboard Music Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Arena and air live May 20 on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
Other performers include LMFAO, CeeLo Green, Usher, The Wanted, Linkin Park, and Nelly Furtado.
Perry has broken Billboard records this year as the only woman in history to earn five number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart from the same album. Her "Teenage Dreams" album saw hit songs "California Gurls," "E.T.," "Firework," "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," in addition to the album's title song.
The Billboard Music Awards also sees finalists such as Adele, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Lil Wayne. The event will be hosted by "Modern Family" co-stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell.
Perry's upcoming 3-D biopic "Katy Perry: Part of Me" will be released on the Fourth of July. The "California Gurlz" singer highlights parts of her California Dreams World Tour that took place over the past year while also covering personal issues in the film.
"This film, you're going to see if from my best friend / buddy perspective, you're going to see exactly what I mean and feel and think about everything," explained Perry in an interview with MTV News. "Listen, I've [worked on] most of this film for a very long time and the word 'cheap' was not in the vocabulary."
Acknowledging her busy year, Perry said "that tour was so life-changing for me. I learned so much, I went through so much along the way."
