Kelly Clarkson, the former American idol champion, is reportedly developing her relationship with Brandon Blackstock, the son of Narvel Blackstock, who is Clarkson's manager.
Clarkson has been single since 2006, but recently the 29 year old singer has been dating Blackstock since the end of last year.
According to Us Weekly magazine, a source has said, "Before Brandon, Kelly had a really rough time with love. Brandon is just what she needed."
Clarkson has previously stated that she is tied of the media constantly asking about her private life, but has expressed that she has no problem at all with being single. Clarkson has said, "People are really concerned about my relationship status. When I tell people I'm happy being single, they don't believe me. They say: 'You have to be miserable being alone'."
The American Idol champ stated, "I've never been in love. I've never experienced certain things, and I think that's because I have this side of me that is shut off. Because I haven't found anybody yet to open to that I feel like, 'OK, you're worth breaking down that wall for'. I've never found that."
Clarkson was the winner of the inaugural season of the television series American Idol in 2002, and was later the runner-up in the special World Idol in 2003.
In 2003, Clarkson released her debut album, "Thankful," which established her in the pop music industry. The release of her first single, "A Moment Like This" in 2002 broke The Beatles' record for the biggest leap to number one, from 52, in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
