Kelly Rowland Addresses Keyshia Cole's Super Bowl Comments: 'We Matter More'

Kelly Rowland, one-third of the R&B group Destiny's Child, recently spoke out against fellow singer Keyshia Cole's comments. Cole's comments were critical of group member Michelle Williams' Super Bowl halftime performance.

Last month, singer-songwriter Cole,31, took to Twitter to berate Williams' portion of the highly publicized performance.

"I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michelle sung and woke my (expletive) up from my daze," Cole exclaimed to over 200,000 followers on the social networking website. "She's always (expletive) the groove up."

Although Cole managed to give Knowles credit for her portion of the performance, a number of people sounded off on the singer for critiquing Williams. In a recent interview with RollingStone.com Rowland, 32, defended the group member.

"It didn't even make it on my radar until other people brought it up. It didn't even matter. We had a wonderful performance, and that's all I cared about," Rowland told RollingStone.com. "I was with my sisters and the three of us matter to each other, and that's all that counts … we matter to a lot more people, with all due respect, than her. So, I really don't care what she said."

Williams, 31, took to her personal Facebook page to share a message with fans concerning the highly publicized show last month.

"It was an honor to share the stage with my sisters Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé on Sunday night. To all my ladies, we must learn to stick together and support each other," Williams wrote Facebook. "The incredible Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson did an amazing job too! Thank you to my sister Beyonce for sharing your moment with Destiny's Child. Love you!"

Williams also sat down with Chicago V103 radio station to clear up rumors that she publicly bashed Cole on Twitter in retaliation to her comments.

"Where did I have the time? We were too busy celebrating," Williams said on the radio station last month. "The unfortunate thing about social media is that so many things can be fabricated."
