Kelly Rowland may be good friends with fellow singer Beyonce Knowles who gave birth last year, but the former set the record straight about whether or not she is one-year-old Blue Ivy Carter's godmother.

"I am a god mother," she told E!. "My god children are all in middle and high school right now, which is so weird."

The 32-year-old singer revealed her own plans for having children in the future.

"I don't know. Too busy with the career," Rowland revealed to E!. "I do want kids, I do want to be married. But, I want one kid."

She previously opened up about why this was not the best time for her to do so just yet.

"Because right now, I'm a bit selfish, a lot-I was gonna say a little-but I'm still selfish," Rowland previously told E!. "I like my time, I like to wake up whenever I want to and I like to come and go as I please. I don't know if I'm ready to share that time with another person, I don't wanna mess them up."

However, Rowland is not opposed to babysitting although she admits that she has not done so in quite some time.

"It's been a minute [since I babysat]," Rowland told E! recently. "I think I would really enjoy it right now, because I just need to hold a kid and give it back."

Rowland's friend Beyonce has gone on record to say that she enjoys motherhood with her one-year-old daughter.

"I just adore being a mother, hearing her say Mama and call me when she needs something," Beyonce previously told Shape magazine. "It makes me feel like I have a real purpose here. I enjoy all the things people warned me would be tough to handle."
