Kelsey Grammer, Wife Welcome New Daughter and Mourn Loss of Her Twin

Kelsey Grammer and wife Kayte welcomed their daughter, Faith Evangeline Elisa on Friday, but revealed that the couple lost Faith's twin brother. The announcement came at a bittersweet time for the pair, who was overjoyed to share their children with the world.

"This was not something we cared to make known publicly at the time," they said in a statement. Kayte lost the son she was carrying shortly after making the public announcement that she and Grammer were expecting twins, which added a new layer of pain to the loss.

"It was unspeakably painful and we know that people will understand our desire to keep the news private then, as we know they will respect our privacy in this matter now. A glorious birth with a lingering sadness is ours today. We choose to proudly introduce our Faith to the world today, looking forward to the days ahead and the children yet to come," the stars announced.

Faith weighed in at a health 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and she and Kayte were both in physical health. Yet it is a difficult time for the new family, especially after suffering a miscarriage just two years ago, while Grammer was still married to Camille. The pair split and Kayte and Grammer were married in February of last year.

Grammer is already a father of four, and baby Faith makes number six. While Grammer's oldest children are grown, he and Camille have had a tumultuous time arranging custody of son Jude and daughter Mason. The couple now shares custody of the two.

Grammer is also a grandfather, courtesy of oldest daughter Spencer. Emmett Emmanual Hesketh was born just last year, which coincidentally makes Grammer a grandfather and father of a child under 1-year-old.
