Khloe Kardashian Claims Self Defense in Fight with Transgender Woman

Khloe Kardashian has finally responded to accusations from a transgender woman claiming she was assaulted by the reality star outside of a Hollywood nightclub in 2009.

Khloe has filed a response in Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming the woman, Chantal Spears, provoked her into acting violently that night, TMZ reported.

The reality star's reaction "was reasonably necessary for [her] self-defense and safety," according to Khloe.

In December, Spears sued Khloe, claiming the Kardashian sister randomly attacked her for telling NBA player Lamar Odom, Khloe's husband, that he was "too young to be married."

Spears claimed that on December 5, 2009, Khloe viciously struck her "in and about her body," causing serious injuries, TMZ reported.

This is not the first time Khloe, 27, has faced legal trouble. In March 2007, Khloe was arrested and charged with a DUI.

She turned herself in July 2008 and went to prison for violation of probation. Although Khloe faced a sentence of up to 30 days imprisonment, she was released from jail in less than three hours due to overcrowding.

Khloe also slapped her sister Kourtney Kardshian's partner and father of her son after having an argument with him on an episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." Khloe enrolled herself in an anger management class following the fight.

In an interview with Tyra Banks in 2008, Khloe expressed regret for her DUI arrest.

"I have to go to the hospital and see injured people who were either a drunk driver themselves or were hurt by someone," Khloe told Banks on "The Tyra Banks Show." "Thankfully [they] weren't killed."

"What I could have done is just unthinkable. I will never, ever do that again," added the repentant star.

Khloe, standing at 5'10'' tall, is known for being the most outspoken, brash star of the Kardashian bunch.
