Khloe Kardashian Fired From 'X Factor'? Viewers Not Surprised (VIDEO)

Khloe Kardashian has reportedly been fired from her "X Factor" hosting gig after just one season on the reality TV talent show.

The reality TV star, who made headlines for seemingly deliberate wardrobe malfunctions and on-camera flirting, will not be returning to the show. However, her co-host Mario Lopez is expected to return for another season, according to the New York Post.

"They are asking Mario [Lopez] to come back, but not Khloe," a source told the Post.

In November, it was claimed that 28-year-old Kardashian's wardrobe malfunction, which stemmed from her opting to wear a sheer blouse on national TV, was ultimately a ratings booster for the struggling show.

"Some 7.4 million viewers watched 'The X Factor' on Fox television, according to early ratings data, up some 30 percent from last week's 5.7 million and a 13 percent increase in the 18-49 age group most coveted by advertisers," Yahoo News reported.

However the show's producers reportedly do not want the reality TV star back and one expert believes that their decision likely stems from Kardashian's amateur and awkward hosting skills.

"It was really hard for me to watch Mario with her," L.A. hosting expert Marki Costello told the Huffington Post. "It made me, as a viewer, almost uncomfortable."

Fans flocked to social networking site Twitter to weigh in on the rumored firing and sadly many were not surprised.

"Thank goodness, Khloe was a terrible host! What was with the awkward flirting with Simon? Made me cringe," Paul tweeted.

"Khloe got fired from X Factor, is anyone surprised? She was awful, constantly messing up her lines. Had an awkward stage presence," Merina tweeted.

"Good riddance Khloe! You're a terrible host, stick to your fake reality TV show love #Xfactor," Janet tweeted.

The firing reports come just one month after "X Factor" judge Britney Spears quit after just one season. The singer was reportedly also facing the axe although sources claim that she strategically beat producers to the punch.

"I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio," Spears said in a statement.
