With the news of Kourtney Kardashian being in line to become a mother for the second time, baby-fever has taken over the youngest of the Kardashian sisters, who famously wants to get pregnant herself.
Khloe, 29, who has been very outspoken regarding her desire to conceive, has reportedly begun considering in-vetro fertilization.
Khloe, who has been married to Lakers star Lamar Odom since 2009 reportedly began consultations in September, according to Us Weekly.
However, having the treatments carried out are expensive, with the average cost being several thousand dollars per attempt it can quickly run up a high bill. Some specialists have reported charging their patients an astounding $10,000 to $15,000 per treatment.
“She is desperate for a baby with Lamar and will do whatever it takes,” a friend of the couple tells Us Weekly magazine. “They have faith the IVF will work.”
Khole is often photographed in public carrying her nephew Mason. With the news that mason is soon to be a big brother it only adds to the pressure that Khloe and Lamar are feeling.
A source close to the couple told the magazine that Khloe and 32-year-old Lamar “have been trying everything to get pregnant but nothing works.”
She told the publication in an interview in the spring, “People keep saying ‘Why aren't you pregnant yet?’”
“That's what scares me, when people are like, ‘Did you go to the doctor? Do you know if everything's working?’ It's nerve-racking. Sometimes I feel like I'm letting everyone down.”
But it has been documented that Khloe’s mother Kris Jenner had troubles of her own while she was trying to have a baby with her husband Bruce.
"She starts telling me that when she and Bruce first met, they were trying to have kids and it took her five years to get pregnant with Kendall ... She was just like, 'With certain people, it just takes a minute’,” Khloe has said, according to the New York Daily News.
Khloe is a stepmother to Odom’s two children from a previous relationship, Destiny, 13, and Lamar Jr., 10.
