The woman at the center of the alleged Khloe Kardaashian and Lamar Odom cheating scandal came forward and apologized during an interview. She said she believes his marriage was nothing more than a "business arrangement," though her claims of the basketball player's infidelity remain unconfirmed.
Jennifer Richardson claimed to have had a year-long relationship with the NBA pro starting in 2012 when Odom was a member of the Dallas Mavericks, but now regrets the situation.
"I'm sorry," Richardson, 29, told Star Magazine. "Lamar led me to believe his marriage was just a business arrangement."
Richardson also claimed that she was not the only woman that Odom has been with while married. However, none of the other alleged mistresses have come forward or corroborated her reports.
"I can tell Khloe that I'm not the only woman; there have been many. I just happened to be around the longest," Richardson told the publication. "My advice for Khloe would be to get a divorce. If she thinks he's going to change, she's mistaken."
Odom had been cheating on his wife since at least January 2012 with a 29-year-old Jennifer Richardson, the mistress alleged. She said the two met while Odom was a member of the Dallas Mavericks and was in Washington D.C. for a game against the Washington Wizards.
Despite the explosive reports, neither Odom nor Kardashian have addressed the rumors. Similarly, they ignored gossip regarding their marriage last year. In September it was claimed that Odom, who is now playing with the Los Angeles Clippers, moved out of their home due to their alleged marital woes. It was also said that Kardashian's "X-Factor" gig prompted divorce talks.
"The only thing Lamar has been sticking around for was a child," a source reportedly told Star magazine at the time in the unconfirmed report. "But since Khloe hasn't been able to get pregnant, he doesn't see any point in staying in the marriage. He's done."
However, nearly a year later, the two are still together.
