Khloe Kardashian has responded to Lamar Odom's sudden departure from the Dallas Mavericks and is reportedly planning a vacation for her husband in a bid to keep him out of the spotlight.

Odom, 32, announced that he was leaving the Mavericks on Monday after posting disappointing stats since being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers in December. Kardashian immediately took to Twitter to publicize her support for her husband.

"U deserve so much better. Know ur worth and know ur skills that have been proven and earned! U showed ur strength, I love u," Kardashian tweeted.

While some critics have blamed Kardashian and the couple's reality TV show "Khloe & Lamar" for negatively affecting Odom's performance on the court, the 28-year-old focused on the messages of support that she and Odom have received from Twitter followers.

"I love you guys!!! I have such amazing FRIENDS on twitter!!! Yes you are my FRIENDS!!!!" Kardashian tweeted.

The reality TV personality is preparing a romantic getaway for her and Odom in an attempt to help him break out of the depression that he has been in since the trade took place, according to Radar Online.

"Khloe is absolutely devoted to Lamar and loves him so much. She has said she will move with him if another NBA team signs him during the off season. It's just so hard for Khloe to see Lamar so depressed," a source told Radar.

Kardashian hopes to "whisk Lamar away from the spotlight for some much needed rest and relaxation. Lamar has been in a funk ever since the Lakers traded him, and she thinks a romantic rendezvous is exactly what they both need right now," the source added.

Although Odom insists that his abrupt departure from the Mavericks was mutual, some critics suspect that he was let go and placed on the team's inactive list after averaging just 6.6 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game throughout the season.

"Lamar is just lost right now and Khloe is hoping once they move back to Los Angeles and he is back in familiar surroundings he will get out of his funk. Lamar wants to keep playing basketball, but it might be time for him to retire which has Khloe even more concerned," the source said.
