Khloe Kardashian is the front runner to be installed as the new host for the X Factor. Simon Cowell's singing competition show is looking to continue its revamp and allegedly believes that Kardashian will be the person to draw audiences in its battle with rival show The Voice.
Although a number of names have been touted to host the show, Khloe Kardashian is the producers' favorite for the past, according to a TMZ report.
Kardashian reportedly took part in a screen test for the hosting part, and apparently blew the producers, including Cowell, away. She allegedly put herself at the front of the line through her performance and a decision is set to be made in the near future.
According to a source to TMZ, Khloe has "an 85 percent chance she'll get the job."
Others thought to be vying for the host spot include Kelly Osbourne, Mario Lopez and Stacy Keibler, according to E! News.
Britney Spears and Demi Lovato have already been signed up as judges on the singing competition in an effort to attract the younger audience, and Kardashian is thought to complement that drive and will be a favorite for that demographic.
It is believed that Simon Cowell is looking to two hosts for his show - one female and one male.
"That will make it more interesting," Cowell said. "There's so much talking on these shows, 11 or 12 minutes. It's too boring, as Ryan [Seacrest] demonstrated, for one person to say everything. You've got to mix it up a little bit. I kind of know what we're looking for, but that's why we screen-tested people."
On Thursday Cowell told reporters that an announcement about the new host will be made within seven days.
Meanwhile in other reports model Chrissy Teigen has been touted as Kardashian's biggest rival to the job, according to Page Six. Producers were also said to be impressed with her style and her feisty personality.
