The start of the new season of the Kardashian reality television show was all about Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, instead of what was originally intended as an episode about Kim and her sister Kourtney in New York City.

Kim and Kourtney Take New York but All Eyes on Humphries

The program, which was premiered this Sunday on E! Entertainment Television, offered insights into the relationship between Kardashian and Humphries, who ended their widely publicized marriage in November, after only 72 days.

The incompatibility of the couple was revealed through issues of untidiness, as Humphries proved to be too untidy for the compulsively neat Kardashian. Humphries was also less than satisfied with his living arrangement, especially in sharing living space with Kourtney and her Husband Scott, and Kourtney’s baby, Mason, who had his play area immediately outside Humphries and his wife’s bedroom.

The episode also revealed Humphries as being disinterested in his wife’s career, specifically as it related to her interest in publicity or behaving for the benefit of the camera. The former New Jersey Nets basketball player appeared to show far more concern with his own career.

The couple, who had never lived together before appearing on camera, managed to frequently get under each other’s skin.

After announcing her intention to divorce Humphries this month, the reality TV star had traveled to Minnesota to, as she explained it, have a face to face with Humphries to discuss the divorce. Still, the meeting appeared to have not helped matters as Kardashian went ahead with divorce proceedings.
