Kim Kardashian Hollywood Game App Cheats: Reality TV Star Defends Her App

Kim Kardashian's brand power proves to be a force to be reckoned with as the reality diva expands her empire to include a gaming app called Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

The game's concept is simple: with Kim Kardashian as their mentor, users work, gift and buy their way up the rungs of Hollywood to become an A-list celebrity. The app stands currently at number five on Apple's top grossing chart, and it has garnered more than 40,000 five-star reviews as of this writing. But what exactly makes this game so addictive to play?

Payal Shah, a 24-year old entrepreneur behind an international fine jewelry brand that counts celebrities Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj as its clients, recently spoke with Forbes and said that the game not only provides entertainment, but also some welcome respite.

"It's almost like living a parallel life … it's a fun escape after a challenging day. The fancy clothes, the stunning villas and apartments, the clubbing and socializing are just a few keystrokes away," said Shah.

However, there have been complaints about the game from parents who found out that their children have managed to rack up huge credit card bills while playing the Hollywood game.

While the game is free to download, real money is required for in-app purchases of virtual clothing and other material goods in the game's virtual world.

Kardashian recently went on the "Today" show to defend her app and said that parents should be more mindful and should monitor their children who play games with in-app purchases options.

"You just have to make sure that your parental controls are all set. I just think you have to be responsible, and don't have your credit card linked to where your kid can just spend if they want," said the reality star.

Meanwhile, fans of the game continue to find ways to get app cheats in order to increase their avatar's wealth in the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game. Kardashian's youngest sister, Kylie, is reportedly so hooked on the app that she allegedly begged her older sister for cheats so she can be an A-lister right away without spending a lot of real money.

Currently, there are a lot of websites that offer cheat techniques on how to attain billionaire status right away, but so far none of them have been reviewed and extensively tested to prove if they truly work.
