Kim Kardashian is reportedly shocked to hear about her brother-in-law Lamar Odom's alleged issues with substance abuse which may be impacting his marriage to her sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom.

However, Kardashian, 32, does not feel her sister should rush into divorcing the free agent NBA forward. Odom, 33, has made headlines in recent weeks for allegedly stepping out on his marriage and now recent TMZ reports have stated that his wife asked him to leave because of a drug addiction that he refused to get help for.

However, Kardashian, the new mother to boyfriend and rapper Kanye West's daughter, does not want her sister to hastily end her marriage of four years amid media speculation.

"She only wants what's best for Khloe," a source told E! News recently. "She knows how much they love each other. Everyone in the family feels divorce should be the last option."

Kardashian-Odom, 29, took to Twitter amid the media reports concerning her marriage and her husband's alleged issues with drug addiction.

"Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk (expletive) about my family," Kardashian-Odom tweeted last Sunday. "(Expletive) you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this (expletive)!"

Odom has previously revealed that he had a harsh upbringing including facing the death of his mother when he was just 12, and father who was a heroin addict.

"My father's a heroin addict," Odom said during an episode of the reality television show with his wife, "Khloe & Lamar." "I had my mother around until I was 12 years old when she passed away and after that my father wasn't around...I witnessed things that a 10-year-old definitely wasn't supposed to see..."

The free agent NBA player seems to have the support of his fellow basketball players. Kevin Durant, the Oklahoma City Thunder forward, was recently questioned about players in the league supporting Odom during his tough times.

"Yea no doubt," Durant told TMZ reporters. "It's a brotherhood."
