Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly in talks with a leading magazine to sell photo rights to first baby photos of their newborn daughter, North West, for a lucrative sum.
The Hollywood couple was previously said to be against the idea of selling photos or any information about their baby girl, North West, particularly because West, 36, did not approve. However, a new report claims the "New Slaves" rapper has become more open to the idea and Kardashian, 32, may in fact appear on a magazine cover with baby North in coming weeks.
"Money is the great equalizer when it comes to the Kardashians. [He and Kim] are thinking of doing the photo shoot for charity, because people would see the baby and it would go to a good cause, making them look good," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
Kardashian and West are said to be open to a deal with People magazine, which is said to be more respected than other tabloid magazines. The reality TV star's mother, Kris Jenner, reportedly approached the couple about possibly unveiling their baby on her upcoming talk show "Kris," and a source claims this could still be somewhat of a possibility.
"If they get a deal, which has yet to happen, [Kim and Kanye] are still thinking of doing the cover reveal on Kris's show," the source revealed.
The source added, "Then, they would kill two birds with one stone. To say that the reveal on the show is off the table, it simply is not."
The alleged photo deal discussion comes less than one week after it was revealed that Kardashian, who gave birth on June 15, reportedly went to extreme measures to ensure that only trustworthy friends get first glimpses of baby North.
The new mother reportedly sent out bogus baby photos to half a dozen friends whom she does not completely trust in an attempt to determine who would try to sell them. Kardashian and West, are said to be hell-bent on protecting the privacy of their baby girl, according to TMZ.
Reports previously estimated that the first baby photos of Kardashian and West's child could easily fetch over $1 million.
"A People [magazine] set up may be worth a million dollars easy," one source previously told RumorFix.
