Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly at odds over their unborn baby's future, with a new report claiming the reality TV star is against the rapper's plans to raise their child in France.
Kardashian, who is seven months along in her pregnancy, is said to be due in July and while West, 35, allegedly wants the baby born and raised in Paris, the Kardashians are said to be against the idea. Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner, 56, has reportedly already paid for a hospital suite in Los Angeles for the reality TV star in an attempt to ensure that West does not get his way.
"Kanye is absolutely insistent that the baby will be raised in France, but Kim's refusing to let that happen. It's so important for her to be near her family and have the baby grow up around its aunts, uncles and cousins. There's no way she'll stop fighting Kanye on this," a source told Life & Style magazine.
"Kris is adamant that this happens and has already reserved the suite at Cedars [Hospital] and paid the deposit," the source explained.
The "Mercy" rapper has been living in Paris since February, where he has allegedly been working on his upcoming album. A source claims the couple, who has been dating for over one year, had prior arrangements to live in Paris temporarily, but West has allegedly since had a change of heart.
"Kanye wants the baby born in Paris [but] he would love the baby to have dual citizenship," a source said regarding the possibility of citizenship in both the U.S. and France.
"They were supposed to spend just three months in Paris. Now he wants to move them permanently to Paris," the source added.
The pair has reportedly been facing relationship woes for weeks, and in recent weeks, sources revealed that they have spent less than 30 days together since announcing Kardashian's pregnancy in January.
"Kim and Kanye have been apart a lot in their relationship, but there is nothing that either one of them can do about it," a source close to the expectant couple told RadarOnline.com.
