Kim Kardashian will reportedly move in with her mother, Kris Jenner, in coming weeks ahead of her due date.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jenner, 57, confirmed that her reality TV star daughter, 32, and boyfriend Kanye West would be moving into the family's Calabasas home. The couple will reportedly stay with Jenner until their $9 million Bel Air mansion is built, however Kardashian recently joked about staying in a hotel instead.
"We have a hotel that she does not know about yet," Kardashian said in an interview to promote Jenner's upcoming talkshow "Kris."
The news comes weeks after it was claimed that West, 36, had initially declined Jenner's invitation. The rapper was reportedly concerned that he may "impose" on Kardashian's family.
"It's a nice gesture for them to open up their home to Kanye and Kim and their baby, but that's not going down," a source close to West told HollywoodLife.com.
"Kanye's the type... that no matter how difficult something is for him, he ain't trying to impose on nobody," the source continued.
Kardashian, who is nine months along in her pregnancy, recently sold her $5 million Beverly Hills home and West has allegedly already moved out of his $3.3 million Hollywood Hills home. The couple's $9 million Bel Air estate, which was purchased in February, is still being renovated and construction will not be complete in time for their baby's arrival.
While Jenner is said to be thrilled that the Hollywood couple will be living with her, critics are concerned that the living situation could potentially become awkward for the family. Jenner and West are reportedly not seeing eye-to-eye on baby plans.
Jenner, who has always managed her son and daughters' careers, is said to be intent on making money off of Kardashian and West's first child, particularly by selling the first baby photo. West, who is notoriously private, is reportedly against the idea and allegedly wants complete privacy after the child is born.
"Kim has been telling her friends that she's really stressed about everything. She trusts Kris, and knows that she is only trying to help Kim, but she loves Kanye too and wants to be an equal partner with him rearing their daughter," a source told RadarOnline.com. "For the first time in a long time, Kim just doesn't know what to do— she feels stuck."
