Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Not Engaged, Won't Wed 'Any Time Soon'

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are not engaged despite reports claiming otherwise. Sources claim the new parents are not in any rush for marriage.

In June Kardashian, 32, gave birth to her and West's first child North West, and various media outlets claimed the couple got engaged shortly after. A new report claims that while West, 36, loves the reality TV star, marriage is simply not a priority at this time.

"A wedding is not popping off any time soon. There's way too much going on. He has to tour later this year, he's a new dad, plus he and Kim are looking for a place to settle into and call their own," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"They're not about to add more things to do by trying to get married on top of everything they have to do. It's not happening any time soon," the source added.

The "Black Skinhead" rapper is said to be living with Kardashian, whom he has dated for one year, at her parents' Calabasas home as the couple awaits the completion of renovations on their Bel Air mansion. Both West and the reality TV star are said to be more focused on eventually moving into their own home with their four-week old daughter.

"No doubt. [Kanye] loves Kim with all his heart. He wants [to be engaged] and wants to make a family with her, marriage and all," the source said. "Kim isn't going anywhere and neither is Kanye so there's really no need for him to rush into anything with her. Besides, she hasn't even picked out the right ring yet."

Kardashian infamously filed for divorce from NBA star Humphries, 28, after just 72 days of marriage on Oct. 31, 2011. Despite the backlash she received over her filing, Jenner is said to be thrilled about the prospect of her daughter having a third marriage.

"Kris Jenner is ecstatic that Kim is dating Kanye; she can see their celebrity stock and wealth rising by the day! She has already told Kim that if they make it down the aisle they are going to do it on camera again," a source close to the Kardashian family reportedly told RadarOnline.com.

"You would think most moms would be keen for their daughter to take it slow," the source added.
