Kim Kardashian opened up about her party plans for North West's birthday, which fell on Father's day Sunday.
The reality TV star, 33, and rapper Kanye West, 37, marked their daughter's June 15 birthday with a trip to a museum in New York City however they will also host a party in Los Angeles this week. On Sunday the trio was photographed on the streets on Manhattan and baby Nori sported diamond earrings which raised questions about whether her famous parents pierced her ears in honor of her 1st birthday.
"It was Father's Day, so we hung out, we went to a few museums in New York. We just had a really low-key birthday – so it's kind of her birthday week," Kardashian told DailyMail UK.
"And this weekend we are having a birthday party for her, back in LA," she added.
Kardashian and West will reportedly hold North's birthday party at Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner's Calabasas home.
The E! star, who is no stranger to cameras, is expected to have North's entire celebration filmed, however, it is unclear whether the event will be featured on the family's E! reality TV show.
"Kanye's going to have his video recorder going, and you know Kim going to be recording and taking pictures, too," said the source.
"They've already begun a huge family photo album, like a scrapbook of just the three of them, and since this will be North's first birthday, they're going to capture every moment," the insider continued. "It will be an overwhelming day for all three of them."
The Hollywood couple are fresh off of their honeymoon which took place in Mexico and Ireland after having tied the knot in Italy. North did not accompany her parents on their post-wedding trip so the family has been catching up on lost time.
"They're planning a lot of surprises for North and want to throw her a party that is fabulous beyond belief and something that they can show her when she's older," the insider said.
