Kim Kardashian committed adultery in her first marriage, according to a new book that details relationship mishaps made by ex-boyfriend Ray J, who appeared in an x-rated video with the reality show star in 2007 that catapulted her career.
The book, Death of the Cheating Man: What Every Woman Must Know About Men Who Stray, details some of the mistakes Ray J and Kardashian allegedly made during their relationship. The literary work, written by Maxwell Billieon uses Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., as a case study to speak about some of his issues with monogamy. Ray J is credited as the co-author of the book.
In the book, Billieon speaks about Ray J admitting that he engaged in a relationship with Kardashian while she was married.
"We'd known each other for a while before we dated and there was a mutual attraction, but she was married. She let me know she wanted to get with me," Ray J says in the book. "She left her husband for me...and things between us got intense really fast. After that, I felt obligated to be with her."
Still, the pair didn't work out because of Kardashian's insecurities with thinking Ray J was cheating on her. Although the singer acknowledged that both of them were unfaithful in their relationship, he said that Kardashian was extremely jealous of other women.
"She literally thought I was cheating with every girl I ran across," Ray J said.
However, a source close to Kardashian did not admit to anything in Ray J's book being factual.
"There's so much that has gone wrong for her this year -- he's just another person trying to humiliate her," the source told The Daily Mail. "Kim actually feels bad for him for making a reference to a relationship that ended many, many years ago in order to sell books. She never cheated on him, but it looks like he's making this up to make himself feel more at peace for all the cheating he did."
Kardashian, who was referred to in the book as "KK," was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 - 2004.
Kardashian is currently working through divorce proceedings stemming from her 72-day marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries.
