Critics flocked to Twitter, where many expressed frustration after seeing the trio posing together for a photograph.

"Bey should avoid this fame hungry narcissist! Kim is a Z-list celeb! Kim's like the McDonald's of the restaurant world, cheap and bad 4 u!!" Kenny tweeted.

"Solange looks miserable. Beyonce as always is being polite. I bet Kim begged them to be in her selfie. Kardashians are so desperate," Harpie tweeted.

"Cute pic but seriously they are not friends. Kim desperately wants ppl to think that which is y she publicized the pic. Typical fame addict!" Trina tweeted.

In July it was claimed that Beyonce, 31, wanted little to do with the reality star after West, who is a close family friend, began dating her.

"[Beyonce] wasted no time in banning Kim from being invited into their inner circle, which is exclusive to say the least. Beyoncé is used to hanging out with Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow- she's in a totally different league," a source told previously Heat Magazine.

Kardashian and West are expecting their first child together and the reality TV star is said to be due in July.

"Beyoncé doesn't want the kind of celebrity that Kim Kardashian has nailed down as her own thing. Beyoncé doesn't want to bring that reality show infamy and drama into a personal life that Beyoncé has tried to keep close to her," a source told Hollywood Life.

"The Beyoncé the world knows and the Beyoncé [and] Jay-Z that her close friends know are completely different and she wants to keep it that way," the source added.
