Kindle E-Reader: Massive Two Month Battery Life Impresses Analysts
With the recent unveiling of Amazon's new tablet and e-reader line-up on Wednesday, commentators are taking notice of some of the more notable specs on the Kindle e-reader.
The most impressive spec on this device is its two-month battery life.
According to Amazon, a single three-hour charge will power the device for up to two months.

The e-reader holds up to 1,400 books, connects to Wi-Fi for easy downloads and supports various files as Kindle's AZW, TXT, PDF, unprotected MOBI, PRC natively; HTML, DOC, DOCX, JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP through conversion.
The basic model Kindle e-reader is selling for $79.
GizmoCrunch notes that Kindle e-readers are not extremely heavy on specs. Amazon tends to focus on keeping the price of its products low.
Tablet computers, which usually sell for an upwards of $400 for a basic model, serve as alternatives to e-readers.
However, in conjunction with the updated e-reader, Amazon also unveiled on Wednesday its Kindle Fire tablet computer, which will sell for $199 upon its November 15 release.
Specs for the Kindle Fire include a 7-inch backlit-color screen, 8GB of storage, and Wi-Fi, keeping in step with Amazon's niche of keeping specs at a minimum in order to keep its prices low.
While some are calling the Kindle Fire an "iPad Killer," others don't think that the tablet can compete with Apple's iPad 2.
The iPad 2 has a host of impressive specs, but also comes with a $499 price tag for its basic, 16GB, Wi-Fi model and a whopping $829 for its high end, 64GB, Wi-Fi and 3G model.
Analysts expect that Amazon's products will meet a specific need in the tablet and e-reader market, but probably won't surpass the iPad in demand.
