Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date 2015: Game Title Missing from Square Enix's Lineup for TGS, PDF List Revealed

Kingdom Hearts, the critically acclaimed crossover game franchise between Disney films and Square Enix's Final Fantasy RPGs has been the talk of the town recently following the rumors of the release of its third installment in 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Since the 2013 E3 to the recent Gamescom 2014 and even until now, fans are still devoid of any information about the much-anticipated game. Some sources speculated that maybe Square Enix will disclose any updates not only about Kingdom Hearts 3 but also about the other purported next-gen game Final Fantasy XV in Tokyo Game Show that is about to take place this month.

Unfortunately, websites such as Gameranx and Attack of the Fanboy revealed in their reports that the two mentioned titles won't be included in SE's presentation lineup for TGS.

In their respective publications, they cited two PDFs uploaded by the official TGS site. It indicated which games Square Enix will present at the expo. There are about eight titles in total and they are as follows:

  • Bravely Second
  • Chaos Rings III: Prequel Trilogy
  • Dragon Quest X Online
  • Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
  • Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
  • Final Fantasy Explorers
  • Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
  • Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix

Few games including the purported FF XV, FF Type-O, and KH 3 are apparently missing in the list.
Although the three aren't mentioned along the enumerated titles, it doesn't necessarily mean that the studio won't be dishing out some updates on those games.

On the other hand, it could be part of the surprise and that it's possible that SE will be "showing them in videos and such," Gameranx speculated. They further specified that maybe FF 15 and KH 3 aren't yet in their playable stages after all.
