'Kingdom Hearts III' Release Date, News: Square Enix Has Unveiling Date, But Won't Reveal Just Yet
The release date for Square Enix's upcoming installment of its hit action role-playing video game series "Kingdom Hearts" has apparently been made known.
A report from IGN said that although they already have decided as to when "Kingdom Hearts 3" will come out, Square Enix chose to keep the information within themselves. The publisher nonetheless teased that the development of the game is on track and new details will likely be revealed at the D23 Expo in Japan this Nov. 3.
IGN meanwhile cited game director Tetsuya Nomura, in his latest interview with Famitsu and Dengeki PlayStation, sharing a slew of updates about the said title.
The battle system in KH 3 will not use deck commands like "Birth by Sleep." Instead, it will utilize classic commands like "Attack" and "Magic."
The update from Nomura also mentioned Sora's greater mobility. The character can now do beyond the ordinary jumping and running into wall running and jumping.
New worlds are also being introduced in the forthcoming game including that of "Tangled" which was recently revealed at E3.
With regards to the game storyline, Xehanort's plot "will come to an end" in KH 3. However, the "Kingdom Hearts" game series story itself "is not finished" and will continue even after this particular chapter is wrapped up.
Nomura added that the studio has already laid out a plan as to where they would put some of the characters that fans might be so concerned about.
Followers of the series should also be on the lookout for "things like secret movies" which are currently under consideration by the studio.
