'Kingsman 2' News, Update: Creator Mark Millar Reveals Ways On How to Bring Back Galahad

Proven to be one of 2015's surprising spy action comedy films, the news for the sequel to Matthew Vaughn's "Kingsman: The Secret Service" is now starting to emerge. Fans of the film were expectedly wary of the fact that Colin Firth's Agent Galahad won't be returning for the second film. However, quoting the words of its creator, Mark Millar, this might not really be the case.

Citing CinemaBlend.com, Millar recently sat down with IGN to reveal that bringing back Harry Hart into the story is a big concern among the members of the "Kingsman 2" creative team. For those who missed it (spoilers), Firth's character was killed in the original movie by Samuel L. Jackson's Richmond Valentine.

Touted as probably one of the best characters in the movie, viewers are certainly hoping to see more of the high-octane action that the veteran Kingsman has shown.

Millar, apparently, shared the same view. He reiterated that Firth's role in the sequel will definitely be a key to its success just as what he did in the first movie.

"Colin's fantastic, it was a two-hander, that film. You also want to have the integrity of the story, so if you are bringing him back, it has to make sense. That's where it is at the moment," he told IGN (via CB).

He meanwhile confirmed that "beats of the story have been done" and that Vaughn and his co-writer Jane Goldman are currently working on the pitch.

"Some things have to be worked out, some decisions have still to be made and everything, so it's all fairly amorphous, but all going well," he added (via CB).

Millar went on to say that although the plan to have Firth back into the fray is already laid out, a final decision still has to be made and whatever the outcome, "it'll be good," he reassured.

"Kingsman 2," still not the official title, is expected to hit the theaters sometime in 2017.
