Kordell Stewart reportedly shared an intimate photograph of himself with his estranged wife Porsha online and while the photo is said to be old, fans are speculating whether he regrets filing for divorce.
Stewart's 63,000 Instagram followers were left baffled when the photo, which shows the former NFL player hugging Porsha, was posted Sunday, although it has since been removed. Stewart abruptly filed for divorce on March 22 after less than two years of marriage, according to blogger JasmineBrand.
"This is a personal and private family matter for Kordell and his family. This was a very difficult decision for Kordell. I hope everyone understands. Kordell's ongoing concerns has been and remains his son's best interest," Stewart's attorney wrote in a statement after his divorce filing.
The photo, which was posted without a photo caption, allegedly prompted a response from Porsha, 31.
"Everything Happens for A Reason," Porsha posted on Instagram the same day Stewart shared a photo of them in happier times.
Stewart, 40, has said very little about his divorce filing, but Porsha has given several candid interviews to media outlets. While speaking to "Good Morning America," the reality TV star revealed that she is not open to a reconciliation.
"You know, I really don't have the space in my mind to consider that right now. I'm in the middle of a divorce, so reconciliation is not at the top of my list. So, that's not something I'm thinking about," Porsha told HollywoodLife.com.
Stewart is yet to reveal why exactly he filed for divorce, but the pair, who does not share any children, was often seen arguing on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta."
Stewart was reportedly seen enjoying a night out with ex-girlfriend Tania Richardson and their son Syre at Dave & Busters video game arcade restaurant in Marietta, Ga. the night before he filed for divorce.
Onlookers described him as looking "stressed out" during what they claim looked like a serious conversation between the pair, according to TMZ.com, which published the photos.
In March, it was claimed that Stewart was refusing to pay Porsha spousal support. The are still living together in their Atlanta home.
"[She's] an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself," Kordell was quoted as saying.
