Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick Engagement 'Just For TV Ratings?'

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have reportedly made plans to get engaged in coming weeks and the event likely to coincide with the season finale of "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami." The report has sparked claims that the engagement may be an attempt to boost ratings for their reality TV show.

Disick, Kardashian's baby's father and boyfriend of six years, was reportedly spotted shopping for an engagement ring on Oct. 25. It has now been claimed that the couple has agreed to televise their engagement and wedding, although critics suspect that they may be in it for the wrong reasons.

"[Scott and Kourtney] are planning to get engaged when they tape the end of the season of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami in December," a friend close to the family reportedly told InTouch magazine.

"It's definitely just for TV ratings. Kourtney is getting caught up in the show, and he, of course, just wants the payday. Sadly, she's flirting with disaster- and everyone knows it," another source claims.

In May, it was claimed that the couple, who shares two children, had signed a $1 million deal with the E! network to film their wedding nuptials. A new report claims that they have now set a wedding date and that the pair will first televise their engagement followed by their wedding.

"She and Scott have met with a wedding planner and they've narrowed down the date- the wedding is scheduled to take place after Christmas but before Easter," the source said.

Disick, 28, is frequently at the center of controversy which often adds strain to his relationship with Kardashian, 32. Most recently the reality TV star was accused of cheating with another woman, although sources insist that he is content and ready for a lifelong commitment.

"Scott was most definitely shopping for engagement rings and all of them were large!" one alleged onlooker told RadarOnline.com.

"Scott and his friend looked at a whole selection of amazing rings, all diamond, all different cuts, sizes, settings - he certainly is taking his time and wants to make the right purchase," the source added.
