Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian are reportedly clashing over their plans for a new reality TV show as new reports suggest that the Kardashian matriarch is pressuring her daughter to create drama in her love life for TV ratings.
Jenner, 56, is reportedly urging Kardashian, 31, to argue with her boyfriend Kanye West, 34, in an attempt to make the contrived plot lines more interesting in the couple's upcoming reality show. Kardashian is reportedly refusing to go along with her mother's ideas.
"It's not pretty! Kim is sick and tired of Kris trying to control every aspect of her new reality show with Kanye. They don't share the same vision at all. Kim wants it be cute and sweet and Kris wants drama, drama, drama!" a friend of the Kardashian family allegedly told Hollywoodlife.com.
"Kris is convinced that the show will only do well if there is drama, so she wants Kim and Kanye to pretend like they are fighting over which flat to purchase in London. Kim thinks this is completely ridiculous and is not willing to put on an act for ratings," the source went on.
Jenner, who reportedly negotiated a $40 million contract with the E! Network for upcoming seasons of the family's main reality TV show, is renowned for her pushy attitude.
In April it was reported that Jenner was pressuring her daughter Khloe and son-in-law Lamar Odom to proceed with their E! reality TV show "Khloe & Lamar" despite it nearly ruining their marriage and the NBA star's career. The couple reportedly went against Jenner's wishes and canceled the show.
In May, just a few months after Kardashian began dating West, it was reported that she was pressuring the pair to get engaged. The mom allegedly wanted the couple to have a televised wedding ceremony with the E! Network in an event that would mimic the reality star's 2011 nuptials with her estranged husband Kris Humphries.
"Kris Jenner is ecstatic that Kim is dating Kanye; she can see their celebrity stock and wealth rising by the day! She has already told Kim that if they make it down the aisle they are going to do it on camera again," a source close to the Kardashian family told Radar Online.
"You would think most moms would be keen for their daughter to take it slow, especially seeing as Kim's divorce still isn't finalized from the last fiasco," the source added.
Jenner and Kardashian's disagreements are reportedly getting in the way of their plans for a new reality TV show.
"Until Kim and Kris can see eye to eye, nothing is going to happen unless they can somehow meet in the middle," the source said.
