Kris Jenner is worried the alleged cheating and drug scandals surrounding Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom could be bad for business by tarnishing the family brand.
Members of the Kardashian family are worried that Odom, 33, is addicted to the painkiller OxyContin and sleeping pill, Ambien. The new developments come on top the recent cheating allegations levied by two women against Odom.
"Kris is seeing red," a family insider told Radar Online. "Kris fiercely protects the Kardashian brand name and empire and to now have it associated with a drug problem, to her, it's unacceptable. She used to be very close to Lamar, but she is disgusted by what has happened."
Sources close to the family reveal Jenner has been "acting as the de facto marriage counselor and mediator between Lamar and Khloe," to RadarOnline.com.
"Khloe kicked Lamar out of their home several weeks ago and he has been living in different hotels. Kris believes that Lamar has a lot of unresolved issues surrounding his childhood and he needs to work through it," one insider revealed.
While the celebrity couple has had a difficult past couple of months, Kris is supporting Khloe while advising her to fight for her marriage.
"She is encouraging Khloe not to give up on her marriage and not file for divorce … Khloe hasn't been able to forgive him yet, but a divorce likely won't happen," the insider added.
The alleged mistress, Jennifer Richardson, is claiming to have several items proving she and Odom were involved in a relationship for several months.
Richardson is thought to have plane tickets, invoices and game tickets from her time on the road with Odom between December 2012 and February 2013, when Odom played for the L.A. Clippers, a source told Radar Online. She has yet to produce any of this evidence, however.
