Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian family that appears on their reality television show each week, is opening up about the possibility of acting as a surrogate for her daughter Khloe Kardashian-Odom.
Kardashian-Odom, the 29-year-old wife of NBA forward Lamar Odom, has been vocal about her own issues naturally carrying a child. However her 57-year-old mother revealed her thoughts about carrying her daughter's child recently.
"I would have done that back in the day when I was younger but I have six kids and my uterus is tired," Jenner revealed on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno recently. "I am just worn out. It's not gonna work anymore."
While she admitted that a part of her would not mind helping her daughter have a child of her own, the mother of six is officially one having children.
"I am done with carrying babies," she told host Jay Leno. "My heart would be there but my body just can't do it."
Jenner is not the first Kardashian family member to speak about carrying Kardashian-Odom's child.
Despite the offers that she received from her family members, Khardashian-Odom told her sisters that she and her NBA player husband were not giving up on carrying their own children just yet on their show "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami." Still, she gave fans and her family intimate details about her struggles with fertility.
"About a year ago, we were like, 'Let's just see what happens.' And then when it didn't happen, Kim was like, 'Let's go to the doctor,'" Kardashian-Odom revealed on the show earlier this year. "I found out I don't ovulate, and now my uterus lining isn't thick enough and I have to take pills to make my uterus lining thicker. If that doesn't get thicker, then I cannot carry a baby."
After Kardashian-Odom revealed the details about her fertility issues, her older sister Kourtney revealed that the matter saddened her.
"I overhear Khloe talking about her pregnancy drama, and she never really talks to me about it anymore," Kourtney said on the show. "I kind of don't really ask her, because I don't want to always bother her. It just makes me sad that she has to struggle with getting pregnant."
